I witnessed something today that is one of those things that makes us continue to have hope for the world.
I pulled into Sonic to get a drink, and to my left was an elderly lady and her dog. She was trying to order some lunch for herself and the dog, but hadn't pulled up far enough. And if you've been to Sonic, you know it isn't easy to open your car door, and on top of it she is also on oxygen. I feel very bad that I didn't notice she was having trouble, but she was sort of to the side and behind me.
Then I hear a gentleman's voice "Do you need some help?" The man who was on the other side of her, and therefore a little behind her and could see her better, noticed she was having trouble. He asked her what she needed, petted her dog and talked to her for a minute. He then proceeded to push the button and order her lunch for her, making sure they knew to give her one plain hamburger patty for the dog. THEN, he pulled out his credit card and bought her lunch for her.
It just really touched me, and I thought it was the nicest thing I had seen in a long time. I am pretty sure I wouldn't have seen something like that in Orlando.
Anyway, I just wanted to share, and to remind us all to be aware of those around us, not just to be safe, but to maybe make a difference.

I LOVE stories like that. They never cease to bring tears to my eyes, and I always pray more people would be like that.
Thanks for sharing! It's nice to hear a heartwarming story for once than what we usually hear these days on TV, the news, and the Internet.
