On a photography board that I frequent is a very special family. The parents are in their mid 20s, they have 2 boys and a very special little girl. Kyleigh was born with several birth defect, including no anus, or "no butt" as her mom likes to say. She has heart issues, probable neurological issues, had a colostomy the first 18 months of her life. Her mom keeps copies of her medical records with her at all times, and they are bursting a 3-ring binder.
Ky had an operation 2 weeks ago to remove her colostomy and connect her colon to her new butt. However, as Ky seems to do, things aren't going well and she is back in the hospital very dehydrated and her bowels aren't moving as they should. Her parents know more about the conditions that Ky has than many doctors do, however they do have an angel called Dr Joe who cares deeply for Ky and and her parents and is working so hard to make her well.
I am asking you all to please say a quick prayer for Kyleigh and her parents. She has been close to death so many times, and has come through it. I don't know how her parents continue on, especially as young as they are. They take care of Ky, their boys, and run a successful photography studio as well. They are amazing.
