Here are a few quotes from recent days in the Valentine house

We often see deer, rabbits, skunks and squirrels when we are driving in and out of town. One night we saw 3 deer. The next day it was pouring rain, and Katie made this observation:

"Mom, I don't think we will see many animals today because of the rain. Animals don't like the rain. Except maybe turtles. They are water proof."

Robbie, on realizing that maybe he really can swim:

"I am SO cool!!"

This morning, we had Meagan move her car so we could all go to breakfast. She gets back in my car and this exchange happens:

Meagan: "Something is leaking out of my car"
Rob: "Leaking what"
Meagan: "I don't know, it's wet"
Me: "It looks like it's just water"
Meagan: "It's a lot of water"
Me: "Is the air conditioner on in your car?"
Meagan: "Not now...no"

Now, her car is sitting parked in front of our house. Rob and I both look at each other and cracked up laughing. Meagan says we didn't let her finish her statement that the AC isn't turned on, so it doesn't come on when she turns on the car, but we don't believe her LOL We think it was just a major brainless teenage moment.
