How does a Valentine celebrate Valentine's day?

Well, first...you don't call anyplace for reservations. The people on the other end of the phone get a good chuckle, but it just annoys me. Second, if you are me, you forget that you have a cake mix in the pantry and you promised the kids they could help make a heart shaped cake. So, we made it the day after Valentine's day. No big deal, and they still had a great time. I wish I had pictures of them helping actually make the cake, but having my camera anywhere near them with a mixer running and spoons in their hands would have been a very bad thing. Meagan used her artistic skills to direct the decorating of the cake. They did a great job.




Poor Robbie looked like Oliver, licking the plate clean then asking for more LOL.




All in all we had a great time with the cake, and it may have to become a tradition.
