Well, since the groundhog said there had to be 6 more weeks of winter, I think Nashville is making up for lost time. Everyone kept telling us they had been having such a mild winter...until this week. Mornings in the teens, highs in the 40's for a couple of hours maybe.
We woke up one morning to these images, wondering if we perchance had had our first mild snow.

Of course, Robbie and Katie had to make use of their new hats and gloves. Unfortunately, by the time we got out of the house, they really weren't necessary (and no, it wasn't because it took so long to get them on)

However, we hadn't seen anything yet. Tonight, while enjoying a nice warm bowl of chili for dinner, we looked out the window, and guess what we saw. As you can see, the kids really enjoyed it.

So, yes, we've had our first official snow. It didn't stick on the ground, but has made the grass nice and icy. We may have to go find someplace with some actual snow on the ground for the kids to play in for a while. I think they would have a blast.
I have a feeling next winter is going to be very interesting.
